About This Event
This workshop will showcase the SimPEG open-source project, where researchers worldwide are developing a unified Python framework for geophysical modelling and inversion. Participants will work with multiple geophysical datasets and utilize the current SimPEG capabilities with Geoscience ANALYST Pro Geophysics.
What I Will Learn
Participants will acquire basic skills for data import and preprocessing, creation of EM data objects, setting of data uncertainties, creation of octree meshes, and running the SimPEG modelling and inversion codes.
Prerequisites Required
Knowledge of Geoscience ANALYST is preferred but not necessarily required.
What Should I Bring
Participants will be required to bring a Windows-based laptop with Geoscience ANALYST installed. Training licenses for Geoscience ANALYST Pro Geophysics will be provided to attendees. Software should be installed and tested prior to attending the workshop. Installation links and instructions will be provided closer to the date.
